My Very Own Computer
is even under my fingers as I type. I yet have to glance at it lovingly, scarce believing it is my sole property. Yes friends, borrowing has its limits. My Dad and sister have been gracious about my use of their machines, however, there is nothing exactly like Mine. It may be a reversion to the childhood mantra. Perhaps we never grow out of it. We simply become more tactful and dress it up with high sounding motives. Whatever the subconsciousness, it nevertheless does not diminish my quiet satisfaction with my very own laptop.
It is a powerful machine. I love saying that. BTW it is extremely helpful when one is beginning the quest to have experienced consultants on hand to translate specs into Good and Not-So-Good.
Here are the ones for my purchase:
Acer Extensa 5620-6266
Intel Core 2 Duo processor T5550 (1.83 GHz)
3 GB DDR2
250 GB HDD
DVD-Super Multi DL
802.11 a/b/g WLAN
15.4” screenTranslation: Good
I can’t wait to go to the coffee shop.

Congratulations! I well remember the feeling i had when finally I owned my first laptop. Two years later, I still love it. Enjoy!
Coffee shop? One detractor for me with the laptop is that the keyboard is not ergonomically friendly to my hands, and the mouse, well...
I know some who use a separate mouse to solve that problem and even some who have separate keyboards at their home station. It is all in what you get used to, I guess.
Use it well, use it often and make sure you download eSword. You will never be disappointed with that bible program.
....now if I could just figure out how to get more ram into my PC, then I could keep up with the Andrews of this world!
Congrats and many blessings, my friend. I will be missing you... Stop in on a Thursday morning on occasion.. you know????
Very nice. I'm nearly at the point of getting another laptop, mine having survived college but becoming a dinosaur in the process. Have to wait for the job to start, I guess. :)
RYC - not sure where I picked up the word... Kinda wondering myself now that I think about it. :)
Congrats! Computer purchases are always fun.
As far as the picture of my dad, he said that was the best rain coat he'd ever worn. He was quite unabashed when I told him to stop to have his picture taken. I don't know if he knows that its online. That might draw a protest. :)
It sounds beautiful. And I can happily say that after a year of having my computer, I'm still in love with it. :)
Congratulations on the new acquisition. I'd trade a tan for a summer term at FB any day. I'm glad you translated that 3rd paragraph of your post...I might have worried otherwise.
eprops.
I have gotten my own laptop myself not many days past.
Am enjoying it!
Yep, the wery same book sale. I saw some Tarkington books...
